Genshin Impact had just held a livestream through
their official YouTube channel @GenshinImpact on Friday, (1/3/2024) to bring updates
regarding events and adjustments in the next patch 4.5. Accompanied with the
voice actor of Aether, Chiori, Kirara, and also Sucrose, Genshin Impact dropped
some spoilers about new wish banners that will be available in Genshin Impact
4.5.
As they usually do, there will be 2 phases in the wish
banner including 2 5-star characters in each phase that the player could pull. The
interesting part of this new leak, Genshin will provide Chiori, a new 5-star
Geo character in the first phase of the banner along with Itto, as the second
character.
According to information revealed, Chiori is a
character with a Geo vision who comes from Inazuma, but she appeared at
Fontaine as a designer. It is known that she came to Fontaine to pursue his
career there.
This character has quite unique gameplay where her
basic attack uses two swords that are swung like scissors which could cause a
physical damage. Chiori's elemental skill will make her dash forward and spawn
a doll “Tamoto” which will deal Geo DMG based on her ATK and DEF. This also
applies to her elemental burst where Chiori will swing her sword, summoning the animation of floral patterned silk fabric.
Another fact is that after using her skill and switch
to another character in the party, player would be able to launch it mid-air
and hit the enemies with a plunging attack. This will make it easier for
players to defeat enemies with large damage.
When Chiori is active in a party, if one of the
character’s party is wearing a skin or non-default wind glider, the whole team
will have their movement speed. This one is also interesting knowing it relates
enough to Chiori’s background as a designer.
Looking at the kit of Chiori’s gameplay, her position could be considered to be suitable as a DPS or Sub-DPS mainly in mono-Geo team comps along with a Geo DPS such as Itto or Navia. Players who are interested in pulling her banner could wait until March 13th, 2024 after the Genshin Impact 4.5 version released.
