Genshin Impact fans, get ready! Version 5.0 is coming soon, and it doesn't just bring new content — it also raises the bar for visual quality and functionality. As announced by miHoYo or HoYoverse via its official blog, the upcoming update will not only introduce additional content but also improve the game's visuals and add more features. However, this progress comes at a cost, as device performance requirements also increase. HoYoverse emphasizes that this means older devices with lower performance capabilities may no longer support the same level of visual quality after an update.
Luckily for many players, Genshin Impact will maintain the same minimum requirements for players using devices equipped with the following processors:
- iOS: Models with A12 processors or lower
- Android: Models with a Snapdragon 865, Dimensity 1200 (8050), Kirin 9000SL, Samsung Exynos 1080 processor or lower
- PlayStation 4
Genshin Impact 5.0 will introduce improvements to the overall visuals and functionality of the game. This update may include a lower resolution for details and small objects, as well as a reduction in the range of visual effects, so that with minimum device specifications you can still run the game very smoothly. Of course, stricter optimization strategies may reduce the resolution and overall visual quality of some in-game objects for players using affected devices.
Interestingly, while HoYoverse has revealed tweaks for mobile devices and PlayStation 4, there are currently no changes mentioned for PC specs. This makes PC players wonder if their devices will also be affected by the update. As excitement among users grows over the graphics that will be improved, players are also speculating about the impact on gameplay.
With Version 5.0 still months away, there's enough time for HoYoverse to reconsider its planned adjustments. Leaks indicate the arrival of a new character named Xbalanque from Natlan (unconfirmed), along with the confirmed Pyro Archon Murata, the God of War. Players also seem to be eagerly awaiting further details about the adjustments that will be made by the game developers, and they are also ready to look forward to the next chapter in their Genshin Impact journey.
