Genshin Impact version 4.7 is finally here! This latest version has just launched its update on June 5th, 2024. Along with the event content update, Genshin Impact also launched several new characters. One of the new characters is Sethos who comes from the dessert of Sumeru.
Sethos is a 4-star character who plays the role of main DPS. He comes along with Thoma and Bennett in Clorinde and Alhaitham banners. Similar to Clorinde, Sethos is an electro vision character. However he uses bow as his weapon. So, what is the gameplay like for this green-eyed character?
Sethos reportedly has the same playing style as Tighnari where he will bring out Electro DMG using his Charged Attack. The advantage this character has is that he does not need to rely on Elemental Skills to deal damage. However, his Charged Attack will reduce energy when used to attack an enemy and his Elemental Burst will provide Electro infusion to his normal attacks. In addition, he also has quite good Elemental Mastery abilities so he is very suitable to be included in a team that is devoted to producing Elemental Reactions such as Aggravate and Hyperbloom.
Best build
Since Sethos can deal DMG even in Charged Attack mode, suitable artifact sets for him include 4-set Wanderer's Troupe, 4-set Gilded Dreams, or 4-set Thundering Fury. Using Wanderer's Troupe can increase Charged Attack DMG by 35%, while Gilded Dreams can trigger Elemental Reaction; For each party member who has the same element as the character using it, ATK is increased by 14%; For each party member whose element is different from the character using it, Elemental Mastery increases by 50 points. The effects described are calculated for a maximum of three characters. This effect can be triggered every 8 seconds. This effect can still be triggered even if the user is in a party but not on the battlefield. Meanwhile, Thundering Fury increases 40% DMG caused by Overloaded, Electro-Charged, Superconduct, and Hyperbloom. Increases the DMG dealt by Aggravate by 20%. When triggering the elemental reaction or Quicken reaction above, the Elemental Skill CD will be reduced by 1 second. This effect triggers every 0.8 seconds.
Meanwhile, the best weapon for Sethos is Hunter's Path which can add a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus to all elements. After the Charged Attack hits the enemy, you will get "Tireless Hunt" which will increase the DMG of the Charged Attack equivalent to 160% of the Elemental Mastery value. This effect will disappear after being active 12 times or 10 seconds. “Relentless Hunting” can be obtained every 12 seconds.
